Marathon Location: da Vinci Centre
Location: The marathon venue is conveniently located at da Vinci Centre, 195 Bay Street in Esquimalt. We’ve listed a few options for travel and accommodation on this page.
Walking: The venue is a 20-25 minute walk, or a 7-12 minute bike ride from most parts of downtown Victoria. There’s a great view of Victoria Harbour and the Legislature from the Johnson Street Bridge.
Parking: Free parking for marathon participants is available at the DaVinci Centre during all marathon events. Please note: access begins at 6:00 PM on Friday, April 10.
Accommodation

There are accommodation options in downtown Victoria, Esquimalt, James Bay, The Gorge, and more. Here are a few options you may want to look into:
- The Spinnaker’s Guesthouses in Esquimalt are 6 minute walk from the venue
- The Delta Hotel in Esquimalt is a 14-minute walk from the venue
- The Swans Hotel is a 17-minute walk from the venue
- Best Western Carleton or the Hotel Rialto in downtown Victoria are both a 6-minute drive or a 22-minute walk from the venue
- Hotel Grand Pacific is an 8-minute drive from the venue.
Note that options for Airbnb and other short-term vacation rentals are somewhat limited in Victoria. There may be opportunities to billet with members of our local tango community; contact us to inquire.

Getting Here

By BC Ferries, from Vancouver, BC
Take BC Ferries from Tsawwassen Terminal to Swartz Bay Terminal, about 30 minutes north of downtown Victoria. You can walk or drive. If you are driving on, we highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Foot passengers can easily connect to downtown Victoria from Swartz Bay Terminal via BC Transit buses (often double-deckers) on bus routes 70, 70X, 71, or 72.

By Clipper, from Seattle, WA.
The Clipper is a passenger-only ferry offering direct service between downtown Seattle and downtown Victoria.

By Coho, from Port Angeles, WA.
The Coho Ferry carries both vehicles and foot passengers directly from Port Angeles to downtown Victoria.

By Air: Victoria International Airport
YYJ offers direct flights from Vancouver, Kelowna, Seattle, Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto.
There are frequent connections through Vancouver International Airport (YVR), making Victoria easily accessible from most major cities.
Float Planes
For a scenic and quick trip, fly directly into Victoria Harbour via Harbour Air or Kenmore Air from Vancouver or Seattle.
